Yoga Teacher Training
200HR teacher training course
This powerful and comprehensive course is open to ALL aspiring yogis.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced yoga student, this training will expand and elevate your practice. If you choose to teach, it will equip you with all of the tools needed to step into the role of teacher and guide as well as deepen your personal practice.
Sacred Body Yoga School (Kelly Daniels) co-facilitated by Be Tru Studios (Victoria Ladd) will be offering a transformational 200HR teacher training course.
You will receive practical training knowledge on all aspects of teaching yoga: The 8 limbs of yoga, The Yoga Sutras and the History of Yoga, asana, pranayama, kriya, mantra, meditation, anatomy and physiology, mind-body integration and the theory, philosophy and psychology of yoga. Additionally, there will be extensive teachings and exercises that will allow you to find your inner teacher and voice.
We will dive in and work with the subtle energy body- nadis, chakras and the flow of life force “shakti”. Experience connection and transformation through the alchemy of group dynamics, partner work, visualization, and awakening into the unified field of consciousness through profound mediation techniques.
Techniques and practices are time tested over thousands of years and many are currently backed by science. So you will not only be given the spiritual underpinnings of the ancient yogic prescription, but also a working knowledge of the science to carry with you. Included in this will be breath, meditation, and heart/ brain coherence.
You will learn the physical practice by doing asana focus and demonstrations. You will also learn alignment guidelines, verbal guidance, hands-on assists and modifications and contraindications. Expect to learn proper sequencing and class structure, the use and purpose of pranayama and meditation within a fully integrated class structure, themed classes and arcs, the use of music and its purpose. You will stabilize your learning by practicing in front of your fellow classmates.
The business of yoga, certifications, registrations and global availability for yoga teaching will be included and discussed in the program.
The books we will be reading throughout the course are:
The Bhagavad Gita by Eknath Easwaran
This is That: Pantajalis Yoga Sutras – Padas 1 and 2
The Radiant Sutras by Loren Roche
Anatomy Yoga by Leslie Kaminoff (optional)
